Hearing God’s voice many people claim to be able to hear God’s voice and others cannot or is unable to hear God’s voice. From what i hear its because they got the wrong idea hearing God’s voice is not listening to God just like someone is talking to one another. The voice that God uses to talk to us is not a physical voice it isn’t a voice people can hear neither is it a voice in our head. A voice in our head would be us talking to ourselves but hearing God’s voice can only come from the holy spirit within us. Another way God can talk to us is through reading the bible by reading the bible we will begin to understand what God wants us to do. Another way is through other people this way is using other people to talk to us but the problem is we fail to recognize what is from the Lord or sometimes we choose to ignore it. To hear God’s voice we must have a close relationship with God.
There are 7 ways to be able to hear God’s voice
- Hearing God’s voice is difficult enough but by hearing God’s voice we must be able to understand what it means and obey what He asks. We do have a choice to obey or not. But when it comes down to it even though it looks like bad choices in the end God only wants what’s best for us. We may struggle but in the end everything is what’s best for us and sometimes God uses us to be able to help other people find God’s voice. Scripture: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (II Timothy 3:16-17).
- The Holy Spirit speaking to our heart: "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen, and everyone his brother, saying, 'know the Lord,' for all will know Me, from the least to the greatest of them" (Hebrews 8:10-11).
- The Prophetic (word of knowledge, word of wisdom, personal prophecy): "Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5:19-21).
- Godly counsel: "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14).
- Confirmation: "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed" (Matthew 18:16).
- The peace of God: "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful" (Colossians 3:15).
- Circumstances/Timing: "After these things he (Paul) left Athens and went to Corinth. And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them, and because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and they were working; for by trade they were tent-makers" (Acts 18:1-3 -- this relationship between Paul, Aquila and Priscilla -- which happened as a result of circumstances -- became one of the most important strategic partnerships in the book of Acts).
These seven ways can help strengthen the bond between us and God and even allow us to hear God’s voice.
My group has chosen to go with hearing God’s voice and with an example of a bully. Because bullies are so common we chose a bully as our starting point. And as he begins to hear God’s voice he slowly changes and he stops bullying people and live a good life. The reason we chose hearing God’s voice was because not many people realize it but we can actually hear God’s voice and because not many people realize it the more reason this poster has. This poster is meant to show what types of changes people can go through when God is working within them.
My team, Elevate has been focusing on a topic that we all (the team members) had decided the most interesting yet important topic yet. Which is "Hearing God's voice", why? Because we think that hearing God's voice could be a guide for our life or the start of the journey of God's plans for us. We've brainstormed in class and in recesses multiple of times which were the most important topic of all from the last semester's lessons. My first pick was the walking with the spirit because to me it was quite inspiring to be able to actually walk with the spirit which is walking in the path which God has made for us. But my pick got cut off from the debates we had. But after a few times of discussing and debating all over my team and I came to a conclusion that the topic "Hearing God's voice" is the one topic that could connect all the other topics as it - like again - be a guide for us or a start for us. So we all the hours and minutes of work on the poster for the project we've managed to finished it the kind of poster we wanted. By also including part of my first pick which was "walking with the spirit". Funny that this topic that we chose had somehow be a perfect connection with some of the topics we had in semester 1 of worldview class.
My role on this project was being in-charge of the pictures, putting the ideas together and taking part of designing the whole poster since we three had to design it together to avoid many different opinions and to keep the peace. On the other hand Isaac was given duty to do the fonts, colors, the layout of the poster and of course also take part on designing the poster. Michelle's role was to do the theme of the poster, designing the blog (very important for the team) and also part of designing the project poster. Graphics in this poster are somehow kind of funny and somehow worked out pretty well for me. Our layout choice was to connect different topic to different topic (connecting them) by pictures that represents them in a way.
Our whole poster was actually reffers to how bullies could stop bullying by first hearing God's voice and in the process some other topics were included to support the connection of the main topic that we chose. So in a way bullies at school could someday see this poster and reflect on this poster and maybe, just maybe they could give it a try. To stop being a bully that is. So we hope that this poster we're making would one day improve a student on the inside and not just the outside.

Idea 1:
Why did we pick this idea in the first place:
1. So that we could grab peoples attention on those who like games
Reasons for cancellation:
1. Too hard to make
2. Hard to find a connection
3. Cant really convey the message that we are trying to say.
Idea 2:
Using Real life situation: bully on how God can change our life
Why we pick this idea?
1. Real life example for it to be more realistic
2. Easy to put in information
3. Able to connect it more
4. So that people could relate to it more
5. Able to tell the message that we are trying to tell more
What we creates so far, stage 1&2 while waiting for isaac for stage 3 by changing font colors, font styles and adding frames to make it more appealing
Michelle: Desinging blog, theme, topic, giving solutions, write the blog entry about our idea, designing poster part 1(aka picking which spot is best for pictures and the words)
Brandon: Finding pictures, connecting ideas together, giving solutions, write the blog entry about the interconnected graphic, designing poster part 2(aka placing appropriate pictures)
Isaac: Pick fonts, colours, layouts, giving solutions, thinking about the future methods, write a blog entry about the future idea that he thought of, designing poster part 3(aka revising everything adding frames and more decorations to make it more noticeable and want to read more)

This idea that we want to tell the world is what if everyone knows, listens and obeys God's voice?
Solitude = which simply means being in a place alone without anyone bothering me
Surrender = which simply means just giving everything you have to God.
Simplicity = being simple, no its ands or buts.
These 4s are what you should accomplish when you would want to hear God's voice.
When you maybe done these things, you kept on questioning myself, people said that you "Hear" God's voice, but the truth is God doesn't say something like when your friends or families talk to you, but God speaks from your heart.
Did you know if someone says 'why did you do that?' and you replied with 'I don't know, I just feel like it' its probably God working in you, well unless its something bad cause God only talks about good things to us.
Or when your mind suddenly thinks 'I should do this', its not your brain that tells you because even though your brain is smart, your brain wont be able to give you commands, but you are the ones that gives it commands, so it must means that something/someone else was giving you those orders. Only one person could do that, and that is God himself. Again, if what you heard was a good thing.
So now you basically got the idea of what is God's voice, its not the voice in db, but its the voices in our heart, that tiny voice that pleads us to do something for Him.
What about listen?
Do you listen to God's voice?
Do you listen to that tiny voice that says do the right thing?
Ok, if you're reading this far means that you might be getting to know what im trying to say. So maybe you are able to know, listen what God's voice is, but do you obey them?
Obeying is the hardest thing to do, especially when you have a lot of pride in your hand. That "pride" prevents you from doing what God wants you to do. Well Im not trying to be a hypocrite or something but that is something that I find hard to do as well... But obeying gives us the best result as just listening wont change anything, you have to act as well, even when its really hard.

The idea that we came up with basically have this as a base and how hearing God's voice, and obeying them makes such a big difference
From our interconnected graphic, and think about those ideas again and again, we realise that Hearing God's voice affect how we live our life, and obeying them leads us to a greater path.
This poster that we make was based on our ideas on how we connect hearing God's voice with other topics that we discuss in class.
This poster itself was designed so that it could connect all the thoughts and process and by looking at our poster, there might be a change in the people who see it.
Well first we should let people know what is God's voice. For me, God's voice are the voices in your heart, the voices that sometimes say that you should do this but you brain prvents you to because its too embarrassing or too nosy etc etc.
On listening to God's voice what you basically need is the 4s:
Silence = which simply means secluding yourself from anything else to hear God's voiceSolitude = which simply means being in a place alone without anyone bothering me
Surrender = which simply means just giving everything you have to God.
Simplicity = being simple, no its ands or buts.
